I have a lot of thoughts, and most of them are about writers block. I'm about fifty words into chapter 5 of Mend (Part 3 of the FUYKB series that I have essentially been writing since August of last year), and now well. I'm stuck. I should be happy that I got through almost 5k words in four chapters (it's a lot for me!) but something is stopping me.

At the moment there are two storylines that will converge - Steve trying to find Bucky and Bucky hiding out in Astoria, OR from the federal agents since he is a wanted criminal. Okay two basic storylines. Splashing in Bucky's recovery, plus the relationship blossoming that's technically not under false pretenses and the (re)building of trust. ETC. ETC.

Both initial storylines have characters that I've never written before - Scott Lang and Carol Danvers - and I think that's where my writers block is stemming from. Yes, we have two Ant-Man films and endless compilations of his Best Quotes on YouTube, but we don't have the Captain Marvel films yet (less than two months away!!!). I can't see how others talk via speech (I've watched about 4 Scott Lang compilations on Youtube) so I'm waiting to read comics to see how the writers write. What their speech pattern is, how do they respond when they get angry? How the hell they laugh? I think this is the root of my writer's block this time around. I can't continue the story of Steve traversing his way to Oregon without meeting Scott Lang on the train. I can't have Bucky continue his hideaway without having him and Carol Danvers become friends, and I can't have their choices build until I do these exact things and it's Very Annoying

I have ordered Captain Marvel Vol 1, and Astonishing Ant-Man last sunday (as well as Ms. Marvel Vol 4 so I can continue reading Kamala Khan's series and the first two issues of the new WS series) and well. I just want to read it so I can have the story continue.

I'm getting antsy to write. I've written a one-shot which was fun, but because I'm waiting to read these comics more and more ideas are spreading out.

I think in the past few days, I've now thought about writing a Fake/Accidental Marriage AU in mind, and I want to write a fic based off of the classical piece Rhapsody in Blue.

Oh geez.

Time to read more fic.
