Of Endings and More Beginnings.
Dec. 26th, 2018 10:12 amI think what I'm trying to say is that that feeling of completing a novel (at least dictated by the word count) is putting me in this happiness because it's something i wanted to do and completed a goal and set out create. I wasn't told by anyone to do this, like a teacher or professor (except maybe a few friends that egged me on [thank you!!!!!!!]), and the nights working on it made it so much more fun without the whole responsibility aspect. I feel, or honestly just straight up guessing, as though a lot of people in fandom kind of follow that same path. It's something they want to do.
I want to write a part 3 to the spy fic series. It's just...not done. I ended the fic with plot lines closed, but in a way it can still end it with another installment. I think it's going to be all about repairing things. Not in the physical sense (although somebody please write the fic where Bucky or Steve is a mechanic, thank you.), but the emotional sense. I know, I know, in the wise words of Miranda Preistly a la "The Devil Wears Prada" - groundbreaking - but it just works.
I need to find the themes of where I want this next part to fall into. Romance? More action? Fantasy fight battles? Well, probably not but could you imagine just a random chapter of Bucky speaking Elvish to Steve in the middle of a Modern FBI AU? (Fantasy dream sequence? I think Steve is totally a LotR fan in the series I think...so it could actually work).
